Reason I Came To This School

There are three main reasons why I came to this school, a good location and climate, good teachers, and my field of study.
The first reason is the climate and locations are good. My hometown is cold because a wind is strong in winter. But Numazu is warmer than my hometown. The facilities for travel are not good however, there is a lot of nature, so the location is good.
Another reason is there are good teachers. Some teachers are working in medical scenes. Therefore, I came because I thought that they could teach me various things about real medical care.
The third reason is I can learn the study that I want to study in this school. There are few schools which I can get the eligibility requirements for the national examination to become a clinical engineer. I entered this school to learn the field of study that I want to learn.
In conclusion, it was combination of factor such as a good location and climate, good teachers, and my field of study making that I chose this school. I am glad that I chose it.

Recall of AED

Nihon Kohden announced a recall of all AED units on November 20, 2009. AED is the abbreviation of Automated External Defibrillator, and it returns the heartbeat back to normal from ventricular fibrillation by defibrillation. Citizenry was able to use it from April, 2007. About 250000 AEDs were put in hospitals, ambulances, schools, public facilities, and so on, and Nihon Kohden represents about 50 percent of shares. The reason for the voluntary recall is a woman died because of trouble with an AED in April. In recent years, the number of such medical accidents creased due to medical machines. In my opinion, makers and engineers should check equipment more regularly for accidents not to happen. First, periodic inspections can prevent an accident discovering malfunctions early and service. Next when the malfunction is discovered measures can be taken for a malfunction not to happen again. Therefore, I think that service is important.

Making My Favorite Dish

I like a hamburger steak. There are several steps you must follow to make it. First, shred an onion and it in a pan. And drown bread crumb in milk then soak it. Second, put ground beef and pork, an egg, the bread crumbs, nutmeg seeds, and salt and pepper in bowl and mix them steadily. Third, mold the meat mixture into oval, pat it and let the air out so hamburger steak doesn’t crumble. Next, heat oil in a pan. Then, grill on both sides. Finally, serve a hamburger steak, salad, and so on on a dish and cover with demi-glace sauce.

Florence Nightingale

I am interested in Florence Nightingale. She was born on May 12, 1820 in Florence. She received an education in nursing in her time. The Crimean War began in 1854. She and a staff of 38 women volunteer nurses went to Scutari in November. There were 12000 or more injured and the death rate was 42% in the field hospital in 1855. However, the death rate fell to 5% in May, because she improved the water supply, drainage, and ventilation. Therefore, she was called the ”Angel of Crimea.” In 1856, the Crimean War ended and the number of dead was about 21000 people. The number of people who died from disease was about 16000. This cause was insanitary. She knew it, and she was a state of apathy for some years. Moreover she wrote "Notes of Nursing", which was published in 1859. It became a best seller. The next year, she opened “The Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery.” In 1907, She was given Order of Merit as a woman for the first time. Then she died on August 13 in 1910. I respect her life.
